Our family began Chestnut Creek Coffee House because like you, we enjoy coffee and want to provide the very best coffee experience possible. We have many memorable family moments shared over a cup of coffee. 

It is with those memories that we want to provide a unique experience for every person who walks through the door of our coffee house. Whether it is to relax and unwind, to refresh by enjoying our specialty beverages or desserts, to replenish by grabbing a quick bite to eat, to renew by visiting with friends or simply by having some ‘me’ time, to research by surfing the internet, or maybe to recreate by listening to live music or viewing local art, we’ll make the Chestnut Creek Coffee House experience special for you. 

As a matter of fact, you are why we are here!  We have a commitment to you and to the community of Galax.  We are a local, family-owned business.  We have been in Galax and the Twin Counties for generations.  Our great-grandfather worked in the Fries Cotton Mill, our grandfather owned and operated Matthews Hardware on Main Street in Galax. Today, we are still heavily involved in the community.  We believe in Galax and are committed to the revitalization efforts in making this community strong and a place of choice for our future generations.

And we do enjoy coffee!  We realized somewhere along the way, coffee companies and coffee that had once been great, no longer were.  Some coffee companies have grown so large they are buying their products in bulk just to keep up.  They are roasting their beans in bulk and the consistency and flavors of the coffees suffer.  Fed up with seeing people pay high prices for inferior or average coffee beverages, we have decided to bring back the flavor, consistency, and experience once enjoyed with a cup of coffee.

We will provide you with coffees made with the finest coffee beans.  Our beans will be roasted only in small batches, packed immediately and sent to us.  This process guarantees the richest, freshest, most consistent coffee taste around. We grind our beans only seconds before brewing, ensuring the richest, smoothest flavor with every cup.  We also offer many coffee (and non-coffee) beverages to satisfy even the most discriminating taste.  And if you don’t see it on our menu board, let us know.  We will customize the drink you want.
